In 1923, walt disney studios started producing animated films. The first feature length animation was Snow white and the seven dwarfs. The studio has continued to make animations to this day and over the years it has extended its reach to collaborating with other studios to co-produce animated films.
walt disney studios no long produce all of its movies under the disney banner. some of the biggest disney films have been associated with "Pixar".
Disney studios have only 52 animations inside there own studios, there biggest names such as Bambi, Tarzan, Peter Pan, Cinderella, Alice in wonderland, Aladdin and Robin hood.
Pixar
Pixar is a CGI animation company based in california, in 2009 pixar released 10 films and its first feature length film was "Toy Story"(1995). the film won an academy award and was nominated for 3 others. The success pixar had with toy story lead to a sequel in 1999. on january 24,2006, pixar had an agreement with disney to merge the two companies. the deal was approved by share holders of both companies and the merge became effective from May 5, 2006.
